The Alexandra Beach Hotel is located approximately 5km North of Zante Town, and just around the corner from the main resort of Tsilivi. The Hotel itself has bungalows, as well as traditional hotel accommodation, and is a popular place to stay throughout the summer months.
With direct beach access, a beautiful swimming pool, and sweeping sea views, it is not surprising that the Alexandra Beach Hotel has become such a well loved Zante beach wedding location. We find that this makes for a really nice flow of events for the couple and their guests.

We really enjoy filming your Wedding Story at The Alexandra Beach Hotel because of the brilliant lighting conditions. Throughout the summer months there is always sunshine on the couple throughout the wedding ceremony and even light through the wedding portraits and photo shoot. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful blue sea and we always get stunning Greek Island wedding photographs here. We often take our couples down to the peninsula at the Alexandra Beach for some stunning ‘just married’ shots, especially at sunset time.

From a filming point of view, the reception facilities at The Alexandra Beach Hotel are fabulous for capturing your reception Wedding Story into the night. The reception areas are well contained, with good lighting options and very helpful staff. We love to get our couples relaxing together on the white sofas here towards the end of the night for an intimate ending to your Wedding Story photography and videography package.

Weddings taking place at the Alexandra Beach Hotel in Zante tend to follow a very similar pattern. The wooden platform purpose built over the sea is decorated with flowers and chairs for your wedding ceremony. This gives you the bonus of marrying right on the edge of the sea, but without sand under your high heels! We film your guests arriving and get some shots of the groom and his family/groomsmen before the wedding begins. We make sure we catch the little details of your flowers and rings at this point before the ceremony starts.

For the entrance of the bride at The Alexandra Beach Hotel there are two main options. She can either descend the stairs from the upper level, or arrive by horse and carriage around the mountain. We love the horse and carriage option as all of the guests and groom catch their first glimpse of the bride in the horse and carriage in truly romantic fashion.
The ceremony and signing of the register all takes place on the platform over the sea and the bride and groom can exit under an arch of confetti from their guests. Champagne and mingling in the downstairs bar area is then followed by the wedding photo portion of the day. The happy couple often take a ride around Tsilivi after the wedding in the horse and carriage to great cheers from locals and tourists lining the streets!
As a reception venue, The Alexandra Beach Hotel offers a number of different menu and seating arrangements – downstairs by the beach, upstairs by the pool or in the formal banquet area. We are always impressed by the standard of service at the hotel and enjoy filming Wedding Story receptions at this beautiful location.

If you are marrying at The Alexandra Beach Hotel, there are very few tips we feel the need to give you – it’s one of our easiest locations for brides and grooms. What we would say is, make sure you and your guests bring some flat shoes for the reception as the party is always a lot of fun at The Alex’ and you are likely to be dancing into the night!
