Choosing the best locations for weddings in Zante

Zante Beach weddings in Zakynthos, Greek Islands
Getting married at one of the Zante beach wedding locations but slightly above the actual beach provides the best of both worlds for Zante beach weddings. Weddings in Zante at the Balcony Hotel
Weddings at the Balcony Boutique Hotel are always wonderful. Overlooking a wide expanse of the Ionian Sea, on a clifftop above the Tsilivi Beach, this is a wonderful location for weddings in Zante. The Balcony has a charming and elegant ambience, with a really lovely garden area where we are sure to get wonderful photographs and video of your wedding in Zante. It allows for a lovely entrance for the bride as she make her way down to the wedding ceremony. The elegant gardens provide for a beautiful wedding reception.
Zante beach weddings on Cameo Island
Cameo Island weddings in Zante are actually Zante beach weddings – with a twist.Cameo Island is a small island in the Bay of Laganas. In the summer months the island of Cameo is reached by a long wooden bridge. When you have crossed the bridge there is a steep stairway carved into the rock cliff of the island wall. Guests and the bridal party will reach the area where their wedding is held by crossing the bridge and climbing the steep stairway. Once at the top of stairway you need to go down again to the small cove area where your actual wedding would be held.
Cameo Island weddings becomes a more popular wedding location in Zante every year becaue you are able to hire the actual cover area – not the whole island – where your wedding will take place. While it is popular, I often notice it is quite a trek for the bride in particular to reach her destination for the ceremony. Definitely not a zante wedding location that you should attempt to approach in stiletto heels! Also consider your guests when choosing this location, and be sure they will all be comfortable making the trek!
Marathonisi beach weddings on Turtle Island
Marathonisi beach weddings, also known as Turtle Island beach weddings in Zante, provide for one of the only location venues for Zante beach weddings where you really will kick off your shoes and feel the sand between your toes! For these Zante beach weddings at Turtle Island the couple depart by boat, with their guests from the port at Agios Sostis, which is actually the Cameo Island port.
The boat ride usually takes about 20 minutes from the port to Marathonisi Turtle island. Once there, the groom usually sweeps his bride off the boat. It is a gorgeous beach, although it gets busy in the summer months. Weddings here are usually very relaxed, There is no seating for your guests on Turtle Island so it is a very casual location for wedding in Zante.
Following the ceremony we have a great opportunity for your Zante ‘wedding story’ photographs and video before heading back to the mainland of Zakynthos. From here guests usually bus or taxo to their chosen zante wedding reception venues. Turtle Island in Zante is called Turtle Island foer two reasons. Firstly it resembles the shape of a turtle, and secondly this is one of the main locations in Zante where the caretta caretta loggerhead sea turtles breed between the months of May and October. Wedding guests should be informed of this and stay close to the shoreline so as not to disturb the turtle nests.
